Joint Commission
Destination Hope is Joint Commission Accredited
We take great pride in the trust our clients place in Destination Hope. By seeking recovery assistance for their addiction, they are making a leap of faith. As a result, we take our responsibility very seriously. We strive to provide optimal treatment for each of our clients. Our quality of care is backed by a thorough analysis and accreditation by the Joint Commission. Here, you will find more information about the Joint Commission and learn more about our national accreditation as a Joint Commission substance abuse treatment provider.
What is the Joint Commission? A national healthcare accrediting agency, the Joint Commission sets the standards by which substance abuse treatment facilities are judged in order to receive accreditation. This process consists of an unbiased review of the facility and our practices. The facility’s standards and practices are then compared against national statistics and only the very highest quality facilities are given the gold seal accreditation. The criteria for certification are very strict and must be accompanied by a track record of exceptional patient success and quality patient care. Joint Commission accredited facilities must continue to meet these standards on a continuous basis to remain accredited.
Why does it matter? Addiction treatment is a life-changing event, which makes it all the more important to find the very best, qualified organizations. With an accreditation by the Joint Commission, an organization is being held to a higher standard – one that is very strict and unbiased. Having a Joint Commission certification doesn’t necessarily mean that a drug rehab facility is right for every client, but it does signify that it has met a high expectation for quality when compared with national standards. We invite you to compare our drug and alcohol rehab center against other facilities by speaking to one of our counselors or visiting our facility today.
